Sitting here, on the edge of the ocean, drinking my morning coffee, looking out at the light blue water that slowly melts into the sky.
Some people, might call this paradise.
For me, its ok.
I’ve been in Asia for four months now and I can see that my impression of it, my headspace, and my attitude has changed.
At first, Thailand was a sensory overload. I look back fondly on my time there but it was all so new and alien to me that I might have failed to truly absorb what happened to me there.
Laos was where I started to get it. It taught me some lessons (chin.. chin..) and helped me realize what really was going on around me.
Vietnam helped me realize what I want, by being the complete opposite.
And the Philippines showed me the value there is in staying in a place for a while.
Now i’m in Indonesia, Bali specifically, which I gather is a world in itself.
The food here is pretty freaking great, (can Indonesian food be the new “it thing” in food when I get back to Canada?) and the scenery is beautiful (sunsets and sunrises… you got me). But, what lessons will I learn from it?
Ill get back to you on that later…
For now, waterfall time?
