I just got to Luang Prabang, Laos after a two day boat ride down the Mekong river. It was awesome! And the best part was doing it all by myself… Well not really by myself because there were two other people doing the same thing, but we just showed up at the dock and got on the boat for 27.5 USD instead of paying at least 50 USD to get a tour company to arrange it. Highly recommended and super easy to do yourself!

The river had amazing scenery, there were awesome people on the boat, as well as cold beer lao. We got to a small town to spend the night, got a cheap room in the nicest built guesthouse I have seen so far, awesome dinner, free shots from every bar/restaurant we went to. What a way to enter Laos!
