Its official. I love Bali.
All it took was a typical south east asian traveller day to get me to understand it.
What did that mean?
Waking up, eating breakfast and looking out over the calm as fuck ocean. Hopping on a scooter with new friends to go see some waterfalls, finding it after driving up a sketchy mountain with beautiful views. Jumping off cliffs, sliding down waterfalls, almost dying (err.. woops!). Trying to relax at some hot springs but instead getting covered in gross smelling water. Going into a temple only to be invited to a Hindu ceremony. Getting our souls purified, ready for a night of drinking. Including rocking out to a live cover of Bon Jovi – Its my Life and being the only foreigners in an Indonesian night club.
Phew. Waking up in the morning, late… jumping in the ocean and then doing fuck all, all day long.
I love days like these. I can never imagine the people I will meet, the things I will see and do, and all the random things that pop up along the way.
And now I have a new place to add to the list of places I love.
And, I tried a new activity today and.. I freaking love it too!
Uhhh before I used to think that I didnt have any hobbies, and now… well I think the list is getting too long… but…
I want to do all the things!
Go to all the places!
See all the things!
Meet all the people!
And fill my life and the lives of others with happiness.
And challenge myself and others, to be more awesome, all the time.
And.. well, what more could anyone want out of life?
I agree 😀 what’s the new hobby!
Freeeee diving man you should check it out
It teaches you how to relax so that you breathe slower, using less oxygen, and then you dive underwater unassisted. I did 15m deep in the ocean after a day and a half of instruction!
that sounds siiickk…did u wear goggles underwater or no? i imagine the salty eyes wouldnt make for good vision lol
Yeah we wore wetsuits, massive fins and goggles. Can do it with just regular snorkeling gear as well though, you need the wetsuit and fins if you want to go super deep. It’s an amazing feeling 🙂
