So, one of those things that was bound to happen happened. My bank suspected some suspicious activity from me, and thusly froze my bank card. Its ok, I was at least moderately prepared for this to happen, go go gadget back-up atm card!

Oh.. wait.. what was the PIN for this one again? Considering I have never used it, the PIN was easy to forget… good thing i wrote it down.. somewhere..

Oh thats right, in a folder at my parents house. Ill just ask them to look for it!

Except.. its a holiday in Canada, so my parents are enjoying themselves (as they should) and not sitting at home.

Ok, well i was also slightly prepared for this. Go go gadget backup stash of american dollars! Sweet, uhm, 35 dollars. This should last me.. hmm, lets see!!

Perscription for being broke in bali: go chill on the beach

View from the rooftop of my hostel, rice paddy next door, cows across the street, 2 min walk to the beach. Not bad!

In the meantime, Bali is beautiful! Yes, it is completely filled with tourists but at least the place I’ve come to, Canggu, still has some undeveloped beaches that you can sit on and drink a fresh coconut or two. And an amazing surf, with pretty sweet conditions right now!

Also there are funky shops, good cheap indonesian food restaurants and some pretty awesome street art, normally overlooking a rice paddy or two.

I wasnt quite sure what to expect when coming here, but, I like what I see so far! Lets hope the rest is just as alright, if not more.
