Things!

I decided to make a list of all the things I have lost so I can keep track. It’s funny because I don’t have very many things, but the things I have have been carefully selected.

You would think losing things at this point would have a devastating impact on my life, however I’ve been able to adapt and move on fairly easily. Losing my camera was the first thing, and it was a massive loss, but my life has been easier without it, one less valuable thing to worry about. I had a bigger reaction to losing my soap box (a $1 box I got from mec that you can put soapy soap in and it doesnt get all over your bag, but it can dry out), I thought, “what am I going to do without my soap box!?” Then, a moment later, realized, I would just have to get a new one. Bo pagnan, as they say in Laos (it means no worries, for the rest of your days), or khom kho zee in Vietnam (same same)

Things I’ve lost:
-my camera
-my iPod
-my phone charger (and it was a good one too!)
-my soap box
-my soap (separate incident)
-my silk scarf (was intended to be for my mom, but then I wore it all the time, and then I lost it)
-my multi-chem pen
-two of my shirts (laundry incident? Realized one day that i had fewer shirts than before)
-one sock (and I only brought two socks, that’s right, I’m carrying around a single sock)

Things I’m really glad I brought:
-My hair brush
-A travel first aid kit
-Duct tape

Things I wish I had brought:
-My trusty Swiss Army knife, affectionately named “Juan Vargas”
