Ahhh ok so I’ve passed my half way mark. I’ve been travelling for four and a half months and so I only have another four and a half to go! Ahhh! Scary!

The time and money are running lower and lower every day. The prospect of this ending is becoming more and more apparent.

And maybe to you four and a half months sounds like a long time, but me, I know that it means my time is almost up.

It’s all adding up.

The effect of the south east Asian atmosphere is becoming apparent. My hair is lighter, my skin is darker, my teeth are falling apart

Yep, this came out of one of my wisdom teeth. I blame my pack-a-day oreo habit. Currently we are filing this under “worry about it later”

I wish I had of taken a before picture because after is going to be pretty different!

What have I been up to?

I made it to Lombok for all of 6 days, but I barely took any pictures. It was nice, a rugged island (not all developed like Bali) with a budding tourism scene. Unfortunately the surf wasn’t my size and the only good breaks were only accessible by boat which is out of my price range. Still, it was a nice island to call home for a couple of days.

I ate at this restaurant 4 times in 6 days. It was pretty damn good. Rendang is the word.

As I was walking up to this bridge a lady said to me “the bridge is broke”, yeah, there’s a lot of things here that are broke

But yeah, appreciating beautiful places filled with beautiful people.

Let me bask in them, if only for just a little while longer.

And though returning to Canada will be a change of pace, I promise to keep that spirit alive.
